The Question We Get Every Day
“Hi, are you free tomorrow?” — this message arrives in our inbox approximately 15 times a day throughout July and August. The honest answer depends entirely on when you’re asking and what season you’re in.
June & September: Usually Fine
Outside peak season, walk-in and same-day bookings are totally normal. Our fleet is rarely fully booked more than a day in advance in June or September. Just turn up at the port in the morning, or shoot us a message the night before — there’s a good chance we’ll have something ready.
Recommended action: Message or call the night before. We’ll confirm availability and prep the boat.
July: Mixed
July sees high demand, especially weekends. We can often accommodate last-minute requests for no-license boats on weekdays, but private tours and the larger RIBs book up fast — sometimes 3–4 days ahead. If you’re flexible on boat type, your odds improve considerably.
Recommended action: Try for a Tuesday–Thursday booking. Message us by 7pm the night before for best odds.
August: Plan Ahead
August is the real challenge. Private tours are fully booked on most days, and the RIB fleet books out a week in advance. Our no-license boats occasionally have same-day gaps — cancellations happen — but banking on one is a gamble.
If you’re visiting in August: Book at minimum 5–7 days ahead on our contact form. For private tours and the luxury boats, 2 weeks ahead is safer.
How to Maximise Your Chances
Here’s what actually works when availability is tight:
- Be flexible on time — we may have a 2pm gap when the 9am is taken
- Be flexible on boat size — a smaller boat may be available when the RIB is booked
- Weekdays over weekends — always
- Contact us directly — direct bookings sometimes have better availability than online platforms
- Sign up for cancellation alerts — we post last-minute openings on our WhatsApp and Instagram
