Tzaneria Beach Skiathos: The Quiet Cove with Tree-Lined Shore

About Tzaneria Beach

Tzaneria is a small, attractive sandy cove on Skiathos’s south coast, approximately 7 km southwest of Skiathos Town. Between Kanapitsa and Vromolimnos, backed by trees, it’s known for two things: its well-organized, family-friendly setup and excellent snorkelling conditions. It’s less busy than its neighbours, offering a more relaxed experience.

Getting There

By Land

  • Bus: Stop 15 (between Kanapitsa and Vromolimnos). About 16 minutes from Skiathos Town.
  • Car/Scooter: 12-minute drive. Limited roadside parking.
  • Walk: 5 minutes from Kanapitsa along the coastal path.

By Boat

Tzaneria faces south into a small cove. From Skiathos Port, a 30HP rental boat reaches Tzaneria in approximately 18–22 minutes.

Transfer

A transfer from Skiathos Town takes about 15 minutes. Cost: approximately €25–35.

The Beach

Tzaneria is approximately 200 metres of golden sand with clear, calm water. The beach is fully organized and particularly popular with families due to the shallow water and protected cove shape.

Facilities

  • Sunbeds and umbrellas (€8–12 per set)
  • Beach bar with food and drinks
  • Showers and changing facilities

Boat Anchoring Tips

Anchor in 3–5 metres on sand in the cove. The cove is small — space for a few boats.

Nearby Beaches to Combine

  • Kanapitsa (500m east, 2 minutes by boat) — popular beach cove
  • Vromolimnos (1 km west, 3 minutes by boat) — popular beach bars
  • Achladies (2.5 km east) — larger family beach
  • Sklithri (1.5 km east) — the taverna-on-the-sand dining beach
