About Lechouni Beach
Lechouni is a secluded, non-organized beach on Skiathos’s northern coast, approximately 5 km north of Skiathos Town. It’s surrounded by tall hills and rugged rock formations, offering visitors genuine moments of tranquility away from all development. With no facilities and difficult land access, it’s a beach for those seeking solitude.
Getting There
By Land
A rough, unmarked path leads to Lechouni from the interior. The route is challenging and rarely used. 4x4 or quad bike may get you close, but the final approach is on foot.
By Boat
Lechouni faces north into a small bay. From Skiathos Port, a rental boat reaches Lechouni in approximately 20–25 minutes by heading north from the port area. The north-coast exposure means it’s weather-dependent.
Transfer
A transfer from Skiathos Town takes about 18 minutes in calm conditions. Cost: approximately €25–35.
The Beach
Lechouni is approximately 120 metres of sand, surrounded by rocky hills. The water is clear but exposed to north-coast conditions. Completely non-organized — no facilities at all.
Facilities
- None — no sunbeds, no umbrellas, no bar, no toilets
- No shade — bring a beach tent or umbrella
- The rocky surroundings provide some natural shelter
Boat Anchoring Tips
Weather-dependent. The beach faces north and is partially sheltered by the surrounding hills, but still exposed to northerly winds. Only visit in calm conditions (wind under 2–3 Beaufort). Anchor in 3–5 metres on sand.

- Kastro (further west along the north coast, ~15 minutes) — the castle beach
- Lalaria (further east along the coast, ~15 minutes) — the famous boat-only beach
- Skiathos Town (return south, 20 minutes)
